This part is made in one setup on our TMM10 live turning center.
All milling, front and back chamfering is done using two axial live tools. Additional
interesting feature on this part is a 0.012" thick slot that is broached through the
thread at the white vertical mark. The ability to broach in the same setup greatly
increased precision of this part which was previously done in three setups
(turn, mill, wire EDM). The part is anodized black and then engraved on our 30W CO2
laser, adding text and serial number.

This part is made in one setup on our TMM10 live turning center.
The 6 bolt hole pattern is drilled and tapped with
8-32UNC tap. The workpiece is parted off leaving
nice finish on the parting surface. This is typical
for 2024 and 7075 aluminum. The 6061 alloy requires additional milling operation to produce
nice finish on the parting surface. |

seat resurfacing tool are made by laser cutting the
backing material. Two parts of different diameters
are produced for each circle. The two parts are held
together with small tabs of uncut material. There
